Readily Troubadour, from 1819 on he exhibited paintings of this movement at the Salon. Two examples are: \u00ab Francis I at Laura\u2019s Tomb \u00bb and \u00ab The Count of Comminges at the Abbey of La Trappe, digging his grave \u00bb. At the Salon of 1822, he was awarded a prize for an \u00ab Interior View of the goldsmith Odiot\u2019s Workshop \u00bb painted in a realistic manner that contrasts with his usual style.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Our painting is also a rare work for the theme it depicts and proves that he was also capable of adapting to the taste of the time for Italian subjects.
