For fifteen years now, Stéphane ROUVET has been developing his taste for painting, be it through contact with connoisseurs and curators ; or in the field, in auction rooms. These exchanges have enabled him to grow competences and an expertise now well recognised.

Out of passion, the gallery has come to specialise in French and Italian landscapes of the end of the 18th and beginning of the 19th century. It privileges quality and rarity in the large choice of works of this period it puts at the disposal of connoisseurs. This taste goes along with an opening towards other movements, from Italian 17th century painting to modern pieces. The gallery is also currently implementing an ambitious project : the redaction of the annotated catalogue of the painter Jean Joseph BIDAULD. A section is dedicated to him on this website.
